SheilaClarkArt.com -- Colours of Fall

Colours of Fall is the name I chose for this large (35 x 66 in) acrylic painting that I finished today. It started out being swirls of colour, but it didn't seem to be complete. When I added the tree branches and trunks it all made sense! I love the colours of fall.

This is a photo of a recent painting I did. I used acrylic paint. It is 16 x 20 inches, and is painted from a photograph I took of my hibiscus plant when it flowered (the one and only time!). You can see more of my artwork on www.sheilaclarkart.com

"Brodie's Umbrella Girls Quilt"

My daughter, Brodie, after leafing through my quilt patterns, asked me to make this quilt for her. The girls' skirts are made from the fabrics she chose from my stash. I had a lot of fun making this quilt even though there was quite a bit of hand work involved. Let's just say I am better at handquilting now!

"Cassie Painted in Oil"

I also painted Cassie in oils on stretched canvas for my nephew's wedding.

"Cassie"

This quilted, paper-pieced wall hanging was made for my nephew and his wife for their wedding last August. Their dog, Cassie, is their much-loved boxer.

"Mystery Quilt"

My version of our guild's (2007-08 season) mystery quilt is complete! It turned out pretty well, I thought.

"Chelsea's Scottie Dog Quilt"

This quilt was made especially for my daughter, Chelsea, to be used on her bed. As our dog has not made the transition to his own bed, this quilt remains hanging over the upstairs railing awaiting its fate.
